Sharon Briss: Maroon Monochrome

Sometimes you just have to let the paper and the images speak for themselves. No elaborate embellishment or layout required. Today, I made a quick set of note cards with my Relish Reading plate. I let my paper dictate my color scheme and let the images stand clean and unadorned.

By choosing a bold paper and matching the color tones, I was able to create a unified look and simple frames, faux photo corners and simple matted ovals, to complete the design.

Stamps: all images from Relish Reading plate (Rogue Redhead Designs)
Paper: Guana Bay double-sided from Letters from Paradise (Black Market Paper Society)
Cardstock: Rose Red, Basic Black and Whisper White (Stampin Up)
Ink: Raspberry Fizz (Palette)
Tools: oval and oval scallop punches (Marvy)

Have some stunning paper that you haven't used yet because it is just too yummy? Why not create your set of note cards letting it truly shine?
