I love coordinating papers and, whether I buy them in 12"x12" or 6"x6" pads, I always end up with some stray paper left over. Using this simple model, you'll be using up all those bits and pieces in style.
For a set of 3 cards you need:
3 6x6 sheets of coordinating patterned paper (or equivalent)
3 pieces of neutral 8-1/2" x 11" cardstock (pick one of the colors in your papers)
2 pieces of contrasting 8-1/2" x 11"cardstock (also good to pick from your paper colors)
Ink in the contrast color
For each card, cut:Neutral cardstock - 1 piece 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and 1 piece 2-3/8" x 2-3/8"
Contrast cardstock - 1 piece 5-1/4" x 5-1/4" and 1 piece 2-1/2" x 2-1/2"
Each patterned piece of cardstock - 1 piece 2-3/8" x 2-3/8", 1 piece 2-3/8" x 2-1/2" and 1 piece 2-1/2" x 5"
Now, to assemble the whole thing. Using an ink that matches your contrast color, stamp your image onto your 2-3/8" square of neutral cardstock. Mat with the 2-1/2" square of contrasting cardstock and set aside.
Fold large piece of neutral cardstock in half to form a square card and attach large contrasting square.
Using 5-1/4" square of contrasting cardstock as a mat, place the long strip from one of the patterned papers on the left hand-side of the square.
Add one each of the remaining patterns, on the right side as shown.
Finally, add your stamped and matted image to the center.
Easy, right? I also added some sentiments to various panels in the same contrasting ink. Here's another card from the same trio:
