Beverly G: Relish Reading

A Great Good Tuesday Morning Everyone! Are you ready? Challenge #9-Gate Fold Cards is up and running.
I actually titled my post after the focal point stamp I used from the Relish Reading stamp set. I also used stamps from Just Sayin', and Beach Babes sets. That sand background from Beach Babes is such a versatile stamp and the flower from Just Sayin' made the perfect holder closure for the flap on this Joy Fold card.
It's a little fancier gate fold, but so easy to put together. I'll even give you the measurements:
Base: 8 1/2" X 4 1/4" scored at 3"--This creates the left half of the gate
Piece to create right gate: 8" X 3"--I scored this piece at 3 1/2" to accommodate the longer stamp, but if you'd like you can score it at 4" for a fatter gate.
Just a little tip: when attaching the holder closer to the front of the card be sure to place it where it will catch enough of the corner to hold it and then use Scor-Tape or Red Line tape on the left side of the closure or else the flap will pop it off.
The rest of the process is choosing the pretty papers and stamps to create a striking card that will wow the recipient.

Happy Creating--
Beverly G ♥
