Winter Blues

Although the weather in Chicago has been relatively mild so far this winter, I can definitely relate to this scene. Snow is falling heavily outside the window. Hopefully you can see it on the image. The snowflakes from Candy Kisses have been stamped in tumbled glass ink. If you look hard, you will see the snow falling. This young girl, from Relish Reading, sits by the window reading her book. She doesn't look happy to be cooped up inside.
Keeping with the theme of this month's challenge, Winter Blues, my card is black and white with shades of blue. The background wall was dry embossed using a Sizzix embossing folder. The window and curtains were diecut (Spellbinders). I had a lot of fun paper-piecing our young lady.
Hope to see your creations for the challenge. Have fun!
