Helene Huber: Milliner Misses

As we finish up our May month of Milliner Misses, how about a Flashback Friday where Friends are always in Fashion?  Here are a couple of tags I made last year using this stamp plate.

The background is from the Just Sayin' stamp plate.  It reminds me of the veils on women's hats.  I used a snippet of vegetable bag for the tag trim to carry out the theme.

You have a couple more days to buy this mini plate at the discounted price.  A bargain at $7.50, the unmounted plate is on sale until May 31 for a mere $5.00. You'll find this and other options such as cling foam, in the store HERE.

I'm sure you noticed that I used a lot of label dies in both of my samples.  Just another way to showcase these lovely misses.

Please continue the flashback Friday theme by scrolling through the previous posts for this month.  The Rogue Crew made some beautiful samples for you.  You'll also find a slideshow at the top of the left sidebar featuring the Milliner Misses. Lots of inspiration for you!

Have a great weekend!  Helene

Krisha: A Black and White Thank You

For this DT project I have chosen to stay with a black and white color theme for this Milliner Miss image from the Rogue Redhead Designs Milliner Misses mini plate.  RRD007.   The images are mounted on a black glossy cardstock and then onto a white card base. The black lace is a Washi style tape I found at the $$ store, adding a simple thank you form the Nature Notes RRD011.
This is such a great mini plate of stamps to play with and it is on sale for the month of May for ONLY $5.00 (US).

Barbara Washington: Love Your Style

I just love working with this month's featured stamps, Milliner Misses (still on sale for $5.00 until May 31, 2014). These ladies are so elegant and fun. To make my card I started with some two sided design paper from my stash. I chose the stripes as my background panel. The reverse made a perfect center panel, especially when stamped with the music from Behind the Scenes. The small scrap was perfect for stamping the sentiment, also from Milliner Misses. Our lovely lady was stamped on white cardstock and fussy cut. I layered her using a gold paper die cut as her frame. It was an easy card to make, but I love it's eye-catching look.
I hope everyone is enjoying the Memorial Day Weekend!

Debi Ryan: Masked Possibilities

I had sooooooo much fun creating this tag I'm sharing with you today.

I've layered the tag with stamps from Behind the Scenes (music background)  and This N That and I whole heap of acrylic paint and embossing. This is might be my all time fav colour combo!

I also sprayed some turquoise glimmer mist. I've then separately stamped a Milliner Miss and a Sentiment from This N That.
Then feeling a bit cheeky I've added a Masquerade mask and some doodling.

Have a great week and remember there's only about a week left to grab Milliner Misses Stamp set for a bargain $5!!

Vicki: Milliner Misses "Always in Fashion"

Vicki here today with my second project sharing this month's featured mini plate, Milliner Misses.

"Always in Fashion"
This card was created using one of the lovely Milliner Misses and sentiment from the mini plate collection.  I added some feather die-cuts, buttons and a flower to embellish the hues of green, blue and lavender that I used.
No matter which Milliner Miss stamp you choose to use, it will always be in fashion!

Holiday Inspiration Club: Tags with Helene Huber

Holiday greetings from your hostess, Helene! I'm here to kick off this month's Holiday Inspiration Club theme which is tags.

It seems like I'm always making last minute tags around the holidays.  Even if I think I have enough, someone in the family will ask me for a few for their gift giving.  Better yet, the craftier family members will just ask where the ink and stamps are and make their own.  These Rogue Redhead stamps will be perfect for that request!  But this month, we're going to get ahead of the curve.

I put gift tags in two categories.  One:  the throw-aways.  Two:  the keepers.  I've made a few samples which I hope will inspire you.

The throw-aways: Let's be realistic-- not everyone keeps even the best of handmade goodness.  To keep from crying when you see your tag go into the trash bag along with the wrapping paper, keep it simple.

As easy as it can get, some navy blue ink and a manila tag with a bit of crocheted trim--you could have a fistful in a matter of minutes.  Stamp: Alice from RRD015 Winter Women
Giving a book?  Try a simple bookmark tag.  (I don't use water soluble ink on bookmarks.)  Stamps: Thomas from RRD001 Relish Reading; Handwriting background from  RRD012 Behind the Scenes; and sentiment from BPO001 A Winter's Tale
(Okay, this one might end up in the keeper pile, or at least find it's way into the gifted book for the duration of the read.)

Stamps: tree, holly silhouette Santa and sentimentfrom Christmas Cheer

Add a bit of interest with metallic ink, heat embossed powder and a gel pen, or an embossing folder.
RRD014 Christmas Cheer

The keepers:  These are for the people you know will appreciate your artistic efforts and will want to keep the tag as a magnet on the refrigerator, or as a scrapbook page embellishment.  If I don't see that happening, I retrieve those tags and recycle them Christmas after Christmas---just like those Christmas stockings hanging on the fireplace mantle.  Of course, it always warms my heart when I'm visiting someone who removes the tag from their gift and promptly hangs it on their Christmas tree.  Yes!

Stamps: Santa, Twas the Night background, and sentiment from Christmas Cheer

I love these stamps because the images are just the right size for holiday tag making.  Now's the time to get your stamps out (or ordered) and make a few tags.  When the holidays roll around, you'll be glad you did!

Want to show off your own tags?  Join in!

Krisha with Dot in Yellow

I have used this image of Dot many, many times.  She is from the Milliner Misses mini plate. I fell in love with her when Shar used her for the RRD logo, and couldn't wait for the stamp image to be released.  So it is only fitting that I use her for my DT project during the month of May since this is the plate of the month.

Dot is stamped on a lacy die cut and I chose to use yellow markers for her this time.  This dc was mounted onto an embossed cs, at an angle, then onto a yellow cs, then a white card base.  With a dc flower and leaves and the Milliner Misses sentiment to finish the look.
(Sorry about the poor image the scanner produced)

Don't miss the chance to get this mini plate of stamps on sale this month.

Barbara Washington: Fashion

The stamp set Milliner Misses is the current plate of the month. These gorgeous ladies are wonderful to stamp and can be used in so many ways. This month the unmounted plate is on sale for $5.00. Can you believe that!
My card today was done using the punched border stand-up card technique (Tecnique Junkies). I used a border die to create the sides of the card.   The ladies were stamped and then colored using Prisma pencils. The sentiment is one of my favorites.

Debi Ryan: Miss Elegant

I don't know who doesn't love the Milliner Misses! So pretty and vintage, I'm celebrating Milliner Misses month, with this cute little note card. Nice and elegant easy style.
Don't forget that this set is just a crazy $5 this month only!

have a great rest of the week.

Vicki...Milliner Misses Buttons and Bows!

Vicki here to share some inspiration with you today.
This month's featured mini plate, Milliner Misses,  is a favorite collection of mine.  I love these stylish ladies! We are also using buttons on our projects.

My card features the image of all three Milliner Misses and fabulous buttons from my stash!

I stamped the Misses image and die-cut it into an oval shape.  I used the Handwritten Music Sheet background image from the Behind the Scenes Full Plate Collection for the tag behind the Milliner Miss image. The sentiment "Love Your Style" is also from the Milliner Misses Plate.  The centers of the handmade flowers are buttons that have been waiting for the perfect project for quite a while.
