Krisha with A Little Note

In fact four of them! Today I am offering up four little note cards all made with the Rogue Redhead Designs Winter Women plate #RRD015
This plate of stamps is so much fun to play with, and the vintage images are just perfect for ATCs.   These note cards are just slightly larger than an ATC.  The background paper is G45.  I used a white stamp pad and embossed on black cs, then fussy cut the shoe and mounted it with a pop dot.  The sentiment is adhered to the background paper and then each card also received an old button from the stash pile.  LOL

I hope you have a chance to droop by the Rogue Redhead Designs  website and check out all the interesting and inspiring stamps and stamp plates that are available, and at very reasonable prices.  The rubber is deep etched and makes great impressions every time.

Barbara Washington: Birthday Greetings

One can never have enough birthday cards on hand. This card showcases one of the Winter Women with a related sentiment against a couple of the backgrounds from Behind the Scenes. I used a couple of techniques from Technique Junkies -- offset die cuts and out of the box. Doesn't she look cool highlighted against the colorful circles and with her scarf blowing in the wind?

Debi Ryan: Pretty Card

I've been recently just dancing creating some simpler vintage style cards. Today, I'm sharing this pretty in pink card made with the new Winter Women Stamps- just adore these so pretty.

Perfect pretty ladies for cards for perfect pretty ladies ;-)

We're  currently experiencing a heat wave which I know my Northern Hemisphere friends want to hear about - lol, but that's why the photo is not the best it was hard to take a good photo.
Wherever you are have a good week.

Vicki's "Winter Women" Birthday

I'm up on the Rogue Redhead Design Blog today sharing another card using the newly released Winter Women Stamp Plate.  I was able to catch the late afternoon sun when it was shining on a rare occasion this past week.  The angle shot gave a little shadow to the trees and leaves.

 "Happy Birthday"

I die cut the sentiment base and stamped it with the background tree bark from the Nature Notes Collection and adhered it with foam mounting tape. The sentiment and ladies boot are from the Winter Women Stamp Collection.  I stamped, cut out and colored the boot with pencils and added Viva Decor Pearl Pen for the buttons.  The boot is also mounted on foam tape for dimension.

Holiday Inspiration Club: Tree-Mendous

So we are back again with some ideas to get your Winter Holiday cards for 2014 ready and set to go well before December arrives!

If you play along even with just 2 or 3 cards per month, you would have between 20 and 30 unique items by the end of November!

This month, we are giving you the prompt: Tree-Mendous!

You can make anything you want - card, tag, bookmarks, ATCs, etc - as long as you include trees in your creation.

Here are some ideas to get you going!

To start off, you can make your tree the focus of your card as I did with this card.  I added a little visual dimension to the main image by stamping my handwritten music background in a lighter color over the image, the Christmas Tree from Christmas Cheer.

Stamps: Christmas Tree from Christmas Cheer
and Handwritten Music from Behind the Scenes (Rogue Redhead Designs)

You can also use your tree as a repeating element in a Clean and Simple card.  This particular card is extremely simple and involves a little masking and some sponging.  I stamped the Christmas Tree in black ink and then sponged rectangles of color around the image.

Stamps: Christmas Tree from Christmas Cheer  (Rogue Redhead Designs)

For my next card, I used designer paper which featured trees in its pattern.  I added the Precious Pair from Christmas Cheer as my stamped element along with a banner sentiment from A Winter's Tale from my Beatrix Potter set.

and sentiment from Beatrix Potter's A Winter's Tale (Rogue Redhead Designs)

Wanting another one-layer that was not quite so simple, I again turned to my Christmas Tree and stamped it in blue Memento three times on a white card base.  I tore a piece of scrap paper and using progressively darker shades of distress ink, I sponged in some blue snow-covered hills working from the top down.  Before moving to the next line of hills, I would sponge the next darkest ink along the rip line.  I also moved the ripped page so that the hills would have different peaks and valleys.

Finally, I picked an image with trees in the backgournd.  This is Barkley and his cat chum extending wishes for a festive holiday.

from  Barkley (Rogue Redhead Designs)

Hope you have fun with this prompt!  Please play along and add your creations to the linky below over the next month!  You can also play along in our Rogue Stampers FaceBook group.  Our March prompt will post on March 15th.

Helene Huber: A Valentine for You

Wishing you lots of love today!

It's my turn to post a sample so, of course, I made you a Valentine---using our brand new Winter Women stamp plate.

A couple of pointers:

1) I wasn't pleased with the color combo outcome of my original coloring on the hat so I re-stamped another hat with (Stampin' Up) cherry cobbler ink and colored with (Ranger) spun sugar, cut and pasted.  I like the 3-D effect--a mistake that turned into a positive.

2) Using the cherry cobbler marker, I individually stamped each word onto a heart from the style and grace sentiment stamp.

I borrowed from the current Rogue Sketch, exclusive to our Rogue Stampers on FaceBook  group.  If you haven't done so yet, pop on by and see what's happening there.  It's a great place for you to share your stamping!  You'll find the FaceBook badge/link in the right sidebar.

This Valentine's Day, how about treating yourself to this beautiful Winter Women stamp plate, currently offered at a special introductory price in the RRD store HERE!  It's a Sweet Deal!

Krisha with a Little Kiss

Yes, it is that time of year again, time for hearts and flowers and a little kiss?    This cute image is part of a  S.W.A.L.K Stamps set now available at RRD.  It really is a larger image, but I just wanted to  use the little kiss part, and in doing this made me think of the first "real" kiss I got from a boy.  He had red hair and freckles, so this little guy got the same thing.
