trisha too: one last trip to the beach . . .

What a little sweetie, the girly from the Beach Babes set.  She looks as if she knows winter is
on its way, and this is her last trip to the beach:

This atc has a spritzy inky background, and you probably recognize the Rogue Redhead
Designs Handwritten Music background stamp, as well--it's available as a single, but
really, you may as well go ahead and get the whole Behind the Scenes collection!

Vicki Robertson: Good Friends are Always in Fashion

Vicki here...It's October, and I love this time of year! The crisp air and warm colors are always so inspiring to me.

My card today was made using stamps from 3 different Rogue Redhead Plates.  I wanted to create a fall scene, and of course, it had to have a tree!  A young girl reads while her friend writes a message  on a cloud..."Good Friends are Always in Fashion".

I used the girl reading under the tree stamp from the Relish Reading Stamp Plate, a quote from the Milliner Misses Stamp Plate and the girl waving a handkerchief from the Beach Babes Stamp Plate.

As you can see in the photo, I stamped, cut out the young girl waving and also removed the handkerchief from her hand.  I wanted to give the impression that she is writing on a cloud.  Since the figure of the girl is smaller than the one under the tree, it was perfect for making her look like she was standing a distance away.  I also added dimension using pop dots under the images of the girl and a few of the clouds.  The leaves were made using one of my border punches and the clouds are die-cuts.  I used pencils to color the images.

Krisha: Nature Notes in Fall Colors

Oh fall, and all the glorious colors.  This week I chose to make a small 3 3/4"x 4 3/4" wall hanging using two stamps from the Rogue Redhead Designs Nature Notes RRD011 plate and the script stamp from Rogue Redheads Designs Behind the Scenes: RRD012 plate.  It is a corrugated box flap, from a box that was printed on the inside.  I did some paper piecing on the main image and made my own Washi tape for the sentiment, then added found objects from my stash.  For more detail check out my blog. Krisha's Keepsakes.

Debi Ryan: Green Birdies

Debi Ryan

I have a nice CAS to share today with you. Firstly I created my own background paper, by simply painting with some acrylic paints. I've then stamped the Birds from Bits and pieces in black Archival ink.
Added a sentiment and a bow and we're done.

Have a great second half of the week.

Barbara Washington: Reading or Daydreaming

It's the end of September and the kids are back to school in full force. Is this young lady daydreaming or studying? My card today features stamps from Relish Reading (image and sentiment) and Behind the Scenes bubblewrap (background). My card is also a sample for the current Rebel Challenge,  Autumn Colors.
To make my card, I started with a piece of glossy cardstock for the background panel. First, I dripped alcohol ink in various fall colors on the panel and then uses compressed air to blow it around. On top of the ink I stamped the bubblewrap background. I die cut leaves and adhered them to the panel. I stamped our young lady on a separate piece of paper and colored her using watercolor pencils. I cut her out and attached her to a die cut layering panel. I stamped the sentiment on a separate paned and added a border.
I hope you'll add your art in the Rebel Challenge. You still have a few days to join.
