Krisha's Getting Inky Tag

Hello FRIDAY!! Yep, it is me again and this week I have a rather fun-to-do tag to share.

I started with a water color tag, for strength, but really had no direction of where I was going to go with this tag..  I did glue a patterned paper to it, but it kinda got lost oncest I really got started. From there I just kind-a threw stuff at it, and what stuck I used!!  LOL I used stamps from the Rogue Redhead Designs RRD 012: Behind the Scenes , using Timber StazOn ink.  The sentiment is from RRD013 This N That plate.  The die cuts were a gift from Carole, a blog buddy. The middle medallion I used Pearl Ex on the middle, and touched the outer edges with while acrylic paint.  For a little "bling" I added a rhinestone to the middle and to each corner.

I wanted the sentiment to be some sort of tag thingy, but didn't want it to cover the middle medallion, so I swung it to the side and glued it in place, then it gave me the opportunity to add a fuzzy fiber and some wooden beads, colored with inks.

So what stuck?
modeling paste, using zig-zag stencil
Gesso
Gelatoes
homemade spritz and sprays
Pearl Ex
StazOn timber ink
White acrylic paint

When ever I am doing a mixed media piece I ALWAYS get out the Redhead Designs RRD 012: Behind the Scenes  stamps.  They are just the most versatile set of stamps I own.  If you like to do mixed media cards, tags, ATCs and journal pages, this set is a must have.
(No I don't get kick backs for this, or own stock in this company.  I just LOVE these stamps

Debi Ryan: Midge in Pastels

For my card today I've combined a vintage look with a bit of grunge too, don't know about you but I love how Midge has turned out.
I've used chalk pastels to just add a little colour and highlights to Midge, I sponged the background papers, and using a honeycomb stencil I've added some texture with gold acrylic paint.

I hope you're all having a great week.

Vicki Robertson: "Just Sayin" it's Halloween!

Vicki here to share a die-cut Halloween card using my Rogue Redhead Design Plate, Just Sayin'.

This couple makes me chuckle when I see them on paper.  I imagine they've lead a long, colorful life and were just what I wanted for my window card.

The card base is made from two different glitter papers.  I used the Sizzix Movers and Shapers Window die-cut and a piece of board paper to make the part of the card that opens from the bottom.  Next, I stamped and embossed the couple on white cardstock, colored them with pencils and cut them out.  I added pop dots to the back of the cut out for dimension and adhered the couple on yellow glitter paper behind the window pane.

In this close up, you can see where I used the border stamp to add a design above the window with white ink.

For the sentiment, I stamped the background in various colors on a piece of white cardstock.  Then I stamped and embossed the sentiment on top of the chain link design.   I used a Spellbinder Fancy Tag die-cut to cut out and mat the sentiment.  The digi bingo cards are from my stash.

Krisha with a Stylish Witch

Witches and spiders and bats oh my!  Halloween is quickly approaching and this Miller Miss from the Milliner Misses RRD007 plate, was not going to be left out of the fun.  So I dressed her is a black witch's hat and gave her some green make up and she was happy.

Debi Ryan: Relish Canvas

I've used the cool Relish Reading and the Getting Grizzley set, to create this funky bright canvas. I was inspired by a feature in the Craft Stamper magazine.

Altered Canvas
I used acrylic paints, with masks and random painting and then added some background stamps, I once again had heaps of fun creating this.
