trisha too: a Happy Birthday tussy!

Rogue Redhead Designs is celebrating it's third birthday, and I made this little tussy to celebrate (because who wouldn't want a tussy filled with something yummy??):
sentiment from the Nature Notes plate
The tussy itself was formed from the Handwritten Music background stamp, which I stamped side-by-side to make a piece large enough for this tussy.  Change out the sentiment and this would be a great tree ornament, too, don't you think?
Speaking of yummy, have you joined in the RRD Birthday Card Challenge?  Fifteen dollars of Rogue candy--now that's a treat!

Krisha's Beach Babes Ornament

This week I have for you an ornament that features an image form the Rogue Redhead Desings' RRD005 Beach Babes  .  I wanted an antique looking ornament, and I was lucky enough to have a chip board ornament left over from last year, and this little guy just fit the opening.  He is stamped in StazOn black and colored with sepia and burnt ocher pencil.  The ornament was stamped with a background  stamp form the Rogue Redhead Designs RRD011 Nature Notes using StazOn timber ink, then using a pom-pom I shaded the ornament with the same timer color.  Once all was dry I used a coat of clear rock candy, and used a paint pen for the very top.  A little holly with red rhinestones to finish it.

Vicki Robertson, Just Sayin', Happy Happy Happy

Vicki here sharing my "Happy Happy Happy" Birthday to Rogue Redhead Designs!!
This month's Rebel Challenge is a celebration....birthday, that is!  Happy Birthday or Unbirthday, we are celebrating Rogue Redhead Designs 3rd birthday!
And what more can we say than HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY?

The Bubble Wrap background stamp is from the RRD Behind the Scenes Stamp Plate.  I used Versamark and Ranger Tea Dye Distress Embossing Powder.  After embossing, I added more Tea Dye Distress Ink. The gentleman, from the Just Sayin' Plate is stamped and fussy cut from patterned paper.  I also used the Happy portion of the Happy Unbirthday stamp from the same plate to create the sentiment.

Join in the fun and help RRD celebrate!
The deadline for entries is December 4, 2013
You could be the lucky winner of a $15 US voucher to the Rogue Redhead Designs Store.

Krisha's Getting Inky Tag

Hello FRIDAY!! Yep, it is me again and this week I have a rather fun-to-do tag to share.

I started with a water color tag, for strength, but really had no direction of where I was going to go with this tag..  I did glue a patterned paper to it, but it kinda got lost oncest I really got started. From there I just kind-a threw stuff at it, and what stuck I used!!  LOL I used stamps from the Rogue Redhead Designs RRD 012: Behind the Scenes , using Timber StazOn ink.  The sentiment is from RRD013 This N That plate.  The die cuts were a gift from Carole, a blog buddy. The middle medallion I used Pearl Ex on the middle, and touched the outer edges with while acrylic paint.  For a little "bling" I added a rhinestone to the middle and to each corner.

I wanted the sentiment to be some sort of tag thingy, but didn't want it to cover the middle medallion, so I swung it to the side and glued it in place, then it gave me the opportunity to add a fuzzy fiber and some wooden beads, colored with inks.

So what stuck?
modeling paste, using zig-zag stencil
Gesso
Gelatoes
homemade spritz and sprays
Pearl Ex
StazOn timber ink
White acrylic paint

When ever I am doing a mixed media piece I ALWAYS get out the Redhead Designs RRD 012: Behind the Scenes  stamps.  They are just the most versatile set of stamps I own.  If you like to do mixed media cards, tags, ATCs and journal pages, this set is a must have.
(No I don't get kick backs for this, or own stock in this company.  I just LOVE these stamps

Debi Ryan: Midge in Pastels

For my card today I've combined a vintage look with a bit of grunge too, don't know about you but I love how Midge has turned out.
I've used chalk pastels to just add a little colour and highlights to Midge, I sponged the background papers, and using a honeycomb stencil I've added some texture with gold acrylic paint.

I hope you're all having a great week.
