Barbara Washington: Happy Holidays

The current (until January 5th) Rebel Challenge is winter holidays. Since I haven't shared a Christmas card with you this year, I thought that I would do so this week. Actually I have to admit that because of my being hospitalized so long, this is the first Christmas card I have made this year.

To make my card I started with a green card base. I then stamped the music background from Behind the Scenes in red ink. I layered the background panel on a piece of glitter cardstock and then adhered the background to the card base. Using the Tim Holtz wreath die, I diecut the wreath and bow. My focal image is from the Milliner Misses stamp sheet. A little faux flocking added to the hat and scarf give her a winter look. The sentiment and background were stamped from the Bits and Pieces sheet. Using a Viva décor glitter pen, I added a few icicles to the sentiment panel.

Don't forget that we have lots of specials going on right now. Check them out HERE.

A Merry Christmas to All!

Because we were naughty this year and were late with our new Christmas Cheer plate, we are going to be extra nice and offer it for the unbelievably low introductory price of $10.00 until January 31, 2014!

Christmas Cheer is part of our Vintrigue line which highlights vintage style images.  This half plate of unmounted stamps includes some fabulous focal images, a merry mini background, elegant elements and some seasonal sentiments.

In addition to announcing this new release, we would also like to announce our Holiday Inspiration segment on our blog.  Each month, we will showcase another holiday card or project to help you be well ahead of schedule with all your holiday crafting.  Look for the fun to begin in January!

Here are a couple of samples from Christmas Cheer!

Happy Holidays from Rogue Redhead Designs

Vicki here with my last post in the Rogue Redhead Design blog for 2013.
It has been a great year being part of RRD and I am excited to be back in the new year too.
Today, I am sending a Happy Holiday wish to all of you!
"Happy Holidays"
I have been playing with a plethora of mixed media in the past couple of weeks and decided to keep it going while making this tag.  Lots of die-cuts, ink, mist and embossing to add detail to the project.
The laser cut wooden Christmas tree design was created using the Reverse Sequin Waste background stamp from the Behind the Scenes plate, watermark ink and gold embossing powder.  Love this plate of background stamps! There are four to choose from in the set.
The "Happy Holidays" sentiment is a combination of words found in the Bits and Pieces Stamp plate.  Another great set of stamps to add to your collection.  You can create many different sentiments with the large variety of words in this set.
You can find them all here in the Rogue Redhead Designs Store.
Vicki
The deadline for entries is January 5, 2014.
You could be the next winner of a $15.00 U.S. voucher to the Rogue Redhead Designs Store.
Please read the guidelines HERE to assure that your entry qualifies for the prize.

Best Friends

It's been quite a while since I posted here at RRD. I've had some health issues which had me in the hospital and rehab hospital for the last 2 1/2 months. Right now I am doing fantastic. Things are healing quite well. I am so excited to be able to spend a little time in my studio.

Today I am sharing a card I stamped using one of the new S.W.A.L.K. stamps now carried by Rogue Redhead Designs. Aren't these two young ladies adorable! I started with a white, square base card. The background is a square of design paper from Graphic 45. I die cut the circle frame from a matching piece of the design paper. The image was colored with watercolor pencils. I added the sentiment to the circle frame. Some lace and the flower both sprinkled with glitter were added as embellishment.

Best wishes to you during this holiday season and a healthy, happy new year!

trisha too: A look back, and looking forward . . .

It's almost Christmas, and as the year closes, I've been looking back at some of my past Rogue creations--this is one of my favorite mini books, incorporating the delightful Gettin' Grizzly bears and their beautiful honeycomb background stamp with monoprint backgrounds and collage images:
The honeycomb stamp really adds some dimension

Those three bears look pretty naughty themselves!

The expressions on their little bear faces--perfect!

NOBODY touches that bear's honey!

Contemplating her narrow escape . . .
Now for the look forward, but still with bookmaking on my mind--did you know Rogue Redhead Designs is now carrying
an absolutely adorable set of Beatrix Potter stamps?
How cute are THESE???
Christmas list, anyone?

Have a wonderful Christmas!

Krisha: Merry Christmas from Barkley

Is this little fella not the cutest puppy you have ever seen??  Looks like he might be related to you know who? There is a strong resemblance, and me thinks they are family..

Barkley is colored with pencil and OMS, he is very easy and quick to color.  I mounted him on dark green and then on a tilted red card stock.  The card base was dry embossed and a red, green and white ribbon was added at the bottom.  I just love the smallish, clear font of the sentiment.  This set also comes with a "From me to you" and a "Let it snow" sentiment.  There is also a second Barkley set that I know I am going to have to have now that I have made my first Barkley card.

He was so much fun to make I made a tag with him too:
What fun and I also found a ribbon with puppy tracks on it in my stash.

So Barkley and I want to wish all of you the very best of the holidays no matter how you choose to celebrate it.
